MiaSci Moving Things Exhibit

September 2011 – Keywords: Exhibit, Touch Screen, Website

Variate created a new exhibit that makes it fun to learn about objects in space and packing efficiency.

Variate designed and built a new interactive exhibit for the new Miami Science Museum Moving Things Exhibit. This new exhibit was designed to be used by children and has a consistent look-and-feel with the tactile and print exhibits in the overall exhibit space. This bilingual exhibit makes it fun to explore the right and wrong answers for how many objects can fit in a cubic yard. These objects range from traditional (basketballs) to absurd (rubber chickens).

Individual Questions

The exhibit poses ten different questions in two languages that range from traditional to absurd objects. Visitors can select different answers to explore each questions. This exhibit makes learning fun as wrong answers are as informative as correct answers.

Bilingual Exhibit

This exhibit can be experienced in both English and Spanish. On any screen a visitor can switch languages.

Rational to Absurd

This exhibit poses a number of different questions around objects that range from rational to absurd. The objects themselves make the exhibit experience fun and explorative.
